What Would You Say?                

The power of communicating with the Spirit World is quite enthralling, and has many other descriptions, as well, depending on what you’re trying to do.

There exist many levels of beings in the spirit world, from the power animals (aka totems), to Ancestors, to avatars, to deity level spirits, to the angels and many others, as well. Knowing something about this, about who, what kind of spirit, you want to talk to and why is key; you have to know something. This Knowing becomes part of a clear statement of your intent, the most serious tool in your bag.

When you go to communicate, that intent will have much to do with the success, or not, of your communications. If your needs are of a third dimensional nature, like food, shelter and security, the power animals – spirits close to what we experience – might be able to help. If you’re thinking about things like ascension and enlightenment you go to the saints, the buddhas, the angels. It depends what level of existence you are most interested in or more in need of.  And of course, it depends quite a bit on what you want.

Once you know what direction you’re taking it comes down to simply putting time into the communication you are seeking. You’ll need to create some holy space, sacred ground. A couple of protection prayers in the routine wouldn’t be bad, along with the dedicated space. Remember, you are creating an altar for this communication. If there’s a big secret to it, it’s in the consistency of effort and taking notes along the way.
