Art Is More Than Divine

From Google:

What is the meaning of being divine?

…of or relating to a god, especially the Supreme Being. addressed, appropriated, or devoted to God or a god; religious; sacred: divine worship. proceeding from God or a god: divine laws; divine guidance. godlike; characteristic of or befitting a deity: divine magnanimity. heavenly; celestial: the divine kingdom.

Divine is a favorite feeling here, something we seek constantly. Isn’t that, after all, a primary purpose of altars?

I don’t know what does it for you, but certain songs can tear me up. That’s a divine feeling.  What’s yours?

Between the divinity that surrounds us and the little bit we have internally, we’ve experienced adventure and good deeds, and grown from it, for the most part. Naturally, we’ve had our share of misadventures. After all, how else can you recognize a true adventure?

At this altar, fireplace, our teocalli – house of God, touching divinity in some wayis a constant goal, the ultimate goal, if you like, for everything we do. We want divine approval, divine power and a divine conclusion, however, we also want to ease the pain and hasten the solution on Earth, in the physical reality we live, in 3D.

When we say “Art is more than divine” we mean it’s also functional and useful in everyday life – not just when we want to feel holy.  We speak of our healing practice as an art, but we are talking about any kind of art: painted, written, constructed, pasted, sung, pantomimed, performed. If it comes to you, attracts you, feels good, go with it. Find a way, time and supply, and go for it.

Any art, craft or project you learn or apply, when enjoyed, brings as much benefit as improving your daily work skills, career, education and so forth. The benefits may not come in money, but money is only one way to find satisfaction.

What can an art do for you?

  • Decrease stress levels and depression
  • Increase self-esteem and spiritual awareness
  • Find inspiration and “answers”
  • Find a fulfilling satisfaction

Keep in mind, it doesn’t matter who you are, what you look like or what you do for a living, you have art inside, divine and functional. We urge you,

MAKE ART
